Description
Still red Saint Joseph AOC, 12.5% ABV, produced by Jean Michel Gerin. 100% Syrah. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. A wine that expresses the soul of the Rhône, with the passion and experience of Jean Michel Gerin. The Gerin family has been located in the heart of the Côte Rôtie in the village of Ampuis for six generations. The influence of Mediterranean and continental climates allows for the production of tannic, powerful, yet elegant and silky wines. Harvested on September 27, 28, and 29. 100% destemmed, macerated for 3 weeks. Aged for 12 months in barrels. Notes of leather, spicy herbs, lard, and black raspberry with hints of fruit. It is medium-bodied, has beautiful purity, and tannins that emerge on the finish.
