Description
Still red from Australia, 15% ABV, produced by JC's Own. Blend of Grenache and Syrah. 0.75L bottle, 2018 vintage. A wine born of passion and experimentation, a tribute to special vineyards and an unconventional approach to winemaking. The grapes are hand-harvested within three days of each other. Fermented in concrete vats. Aged in oak barrels for 19 months. Bottled unfiltered. A red that promises a unique experience, a sensory journey that reflects the soul of the producer.
Through all this and getting older and seemingly wiser, I have realised that wine is what you want it to be. For me, there is a time for fun, enjoyment and adventure. There is also the realisation that some exceptional vineyards need to be bottled. So you will see that in my JC's Own wines - some adventurously different wines in style and packaging and limited versions that pay homage to individual distinct sites worldwide."
