Description
What type of wine it is
Haderburg Gewürztraminer is an organic white wine that precisely expresses the character of the South Tyrolean territory of Mitterberg. This label presents itself in the glass with a straw-yellow colour, embellished with clear golden reflections. The olfactory profile is frank and varietal, characterised by scents of rose, notes of Muscat and vegetal nuances of blackcurrant leaf. On the palate, it reveals a full structure, guided by a balanced sweet-savoury contrast that supports the long and satisfying gustatory persistence, ensuring an elegant and defined drinking experience.
Where it comes from
This white is born in Salorno, in the heart of Trentino-South Tyrol, where the Aromatic Traminer benefits from ideal conditions to develop its full expressive potential. The vines, grown using the Guyot method, sink their roots into calcareous-clay soils, responsible for the marked mineral backbone of the sip. Targeted planting density and low yields allow the aromas to concentrate in the bunches, preserving the authenticity and recognisability of the terroir.
How it is produced
The harvest takes place when the bunches show the optimal balance between aromatic richness and freshness. The subsequent vinification involves fermentation exclusively in stainless steel, a fundamental technique for keeping the purity of the grape variety intact and outlining a consistent and clean sensory profile. Careful management in the cellar results in a wine with a solid and lasting character. Ideal when served at a temperature of 12 °C, it elegantly accompanies warm starters, dishes based on oily fish and savoury cheeses.
History and trivia
This prestigious organic Gewürztraminer is born in Salorno as an authentic tribute to the winemaking tradition of South Tyrol. Produced by a family dedicated to oenology since the 1970s, the label came to life in 1986 from the fine grapes of the Haderburg single vineyard. The meticulous care is reflected in a limited production of only 1,860 bottles per year, giving the wine an exclusive collector's charm. The mid-September harvest and the delicate fermentation in stainless steel preserve the elegant and complex varietal aromatic signature intact.

In the mid-1970s, we made the daring transformation from being a fruit-growing farm concerned only with the production and sale of grapes and apples to a winery which processes its own grapes. Since that turning point, our enthusiasm for good wines and champagnes has set the tone for the work in the vineyards and in the wine cellar. Read more
