Description
Still red from the heart of Tuscany, 15% ABV, produced by Giuseppe Gorelli. 100% Sangiovese. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. A Rosso di Montalcino born from the passion of a winemaker who chose to grow Sangiovese on the northwest slope of the hill, where this grape variety best expresses its qualities. Completely spontaneous vinification, thanks to indigenous yeasts, takes place partly in wooden vats/barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks. Aged mostly in 50-hectoliter oak barrels for approximately 9 months. Red aromas of ripe berries, with light balsamic nuances that anticipate an intense sip. A note of sweetness emerges on the palate, contrasting with a lively acidity. The finish is a finely persistent tannic balance.

Giuseppe Gorelli is always busy conducting both the vineyards and the vinification, which is done in the traditional manner and with spontaneous fermentation. The grapes are mostly fermented in 50-hectolitre wooden vats/bottles.
Subsequently, ageing takes place in medium/large capacity wooden barrels (16/35 hl). Read more
