Description
What kind of wine it is
Francois Martenot Cremant de Bourgogne Brut is an elegant sparkling wine that expresses the true character of Crémant de Bourgogne. It is created from a blend featuring Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Aligoté and Gamay. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it displays a straw yellow colour with brilliant highlights and an extremely fine mousse. The fresh bouquet reveals notes of lemon, citrus fruits and white flowers. On the palate, it is delicate and fruity, supported by excellent acidity, making it ideal with seafood starters, shellfish or as a refined aperitif.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine is produced in Burgundy, from a selection of vineyards characterised by great soil diversity. The limestone and marl soils of the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise provide structure, while the granitic components of southern Burgundy add a mineral touch. This territorial synergy results in a wine with a strong identity, combining remarkable aromatic intensity with a linear flavour profile. The result is a pure and balanced expression, where high acidity supports the elegance of the mousse and the depth of the sip.
How it is produced
The winemaking process is aimed at preserving freshness and aromatic precision. In the winery, the grapes are gently processed using pneumatic presses. Primary fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The base wines are then combined in a blend before bottle refermentation, an essential stage of the Traditional Method. With a very dry Brut profile, the wine offers a clean and balanced finish. Excellent to drink immediately, it can also evolve in the cellar and is perfect for enhancing cheeses, poultry and fruit desserts.
