Description
“The name of this wine is a tribute to the collaboration with John, a Norwegian importer, with whom I have been working since 2017. We have the fictional name made of my surname (Cantori = Cantore, in my hometown Montefano many call me that) and his first name (John, John Sonnichsen, sommelier in the past at Restaurant Noma): together, they echo John Lennon and his song Norwegian wood. Despite past disappointments in love, which more or less all of us have experienced, the goodness or otherwise of wood (for me a metaphor for character), even in that story wine remains at the center and perhaps gives the protagonists the most convivial moments.” (Roberto Cantori)

"Where I come from there is a mountain that protects the valley and the castles around it. It’s nice to have a little peak in the distance, sharply peaked on one side, a crooked turtle dome, and acting as your beacon when you don’t have the sea. It’s called Monte San Vicino and it also looks beautiful over a large vineyard, and guards it, in the Apiro countryside. From this vineyard was born the wine of the young Fattoria Nannì, all painted by Nina, a green balcony to a lighthouse that is shaped like a rock, and that has been telling us since we were little what the weather will be, what colour the sky will be, all that you can see and not see, and which way you will find the moon."
