Description

Edoardo Valentini Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is a DOC white wine, awarded as the ninth best Italian wine in the competition organized by the world's top wine experts, Winesider Best Italian Wine of 2017. The Valentini family's winery has been producing this excellent wine since 1956, using exclusively local vineyards and rigorously employing traditional Abruzzo winemaking techniques. The grapes used to create Edoardo Valentini Trebbiano d'Abruzzo are hand-picked on the hills and plateaus no higher than 500 meters above sea level. The area where the vine is grown is located in the hills of Pescara, Teramo, Chieti, and L'Aquila. Only the best bunches are selected to undergo the crushing and destemming process. Being a DOC wine, all the processes leading to winemaking are carried out within the region. Wine is the authentic fruit of the earth's biochemical processes. The vineyard grows in a climate characterized by pleasant temperatures year-round, without significant temperature fluctuations, and the soils that host the vineyard are fertile and well-drained. The grapes are then fermented in large steel barrels, and the wine is aged in oak barrels, where it reaches its full maturity. Edoardo Valentini Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is one of the wines that best represents Made in Italy abroad, and its distinctive characteristics remain intact even for decades in the bottle.

We enter in the "myth" there is an official recognition as early as 1868 and documentary evidence in the 1650 those make Valentini the oldest winery in Abruzzo. Equally certain is the presence in the area of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo vineyards, ancient indigenous variety, at least since 1821. Camillo Valentini received for the quality of its wines a first official recognition as early as 1868.

The current owner Francesco Paolo Valentini, define himself "the artisan of wine ", as opposed to the current trend, he does not use barrique but only large barrels, as the best use of local wants, he uses only Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, both with an unmistakable personality. Elegant wine, with unique features, noble ambassadors and witnesses of the Abruzzo region.
