Description
What kind of wine it is
Vosne Romanée Aux Reas from Domaine A.F. Gros is a still red wine from Burgundy that elegantly expresses the character of Vosne-Romanée. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, it displays a bright cherry-red hue and intense aromas of small red fruits. On the palate, it reveals a lively and fresh character, enriched by sharp notes of spices and dark fruit. The solid structure ensures a balanced palate, capable of supporting an ageing potential estimated at between ten and fifteen years.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in the village of Vosne-Romanée, located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy, a premier region for great reds. The name Aux Reas identifies a specific vineyard, whose soil and climate characteristics infuse the wine with a distinct finesse and clear aromatic precision. The strong link with the soil translates into an identity where the typical spicy drive of the area emerges. The synergy between the commune's characteristics and the uniqueness of the plot creates a deep and highly recognisable balance of flavour.

At 25 years old, Anne saw the family domaine grow from 3 to 6.5 ha. Recently, she invested in a new cellar. She is a winegrower suspicious of certitude and fastidious about maintaining her freedom.
As a female winegrower, Anne knew how to prove herself and convince all who doubted her ability to manage a domaine. She showed that she had not only the shoulders but the head to make her family heritage one of the greatest domaines of Burgundy.
In 1984 she had to stop studying Arts to study vines’culture and oenology in Beaune and Dijon. Now her passion for vine and wine as well as her talent, sensitivity and professionalism position her as a winemaker amateurs can rely on.
A mother of 3 children, Anne spends all her time working at the Domaine and taking care of her family. Read more
