Description

What kind of wine is it

Dhondt Grellet presents the Champagne Cramant Grand Cru Extra Brut, a refined Blanc de Blancs made from Chardonnay grapes grown according to organic farming principles. The glass displays a straw yellow colour with golden highlights, while the bouquet reveals elegant floral and fruity notes, enhanced by distinct citrus aromas. Enhanced by the precision of the Traditional Method, the palate is fresh, persistent and extremely dry, enlivened by a fine perlage of impeccable clarity.

Where does it come from

The area of origin is the village of Cramant, located in the renowned Champagne region. The territory boasts the prestigious Grand Cru classification, considered the purest expression for Blanc de Blancs. The grapes come from old vines around fifty-five years old, a decisive factor in ensuring low yields and extraordinary aromatic concentration. This viticultural heritage produces a wine with an essential and dry profile, capable of expressing the minerality of the terroir with absolute precision.

How is it produced

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in wooden barrels and is followed by malolactic fermentation, which softens the structure while maintaining the fresh drive of the fruit. Produced according to the Traditional Method, the Extra Brut dosage ensures a linear, taut and sharp drink, ideal for enhancing dishes of oysters, raw seafood, lean fish and cheeses. The marked finesse of this cuvée has been confirmed by prestigious international awards, highlighting its high oenological value.
