History The Saint-Véran appellation is located in the south of the Mâconnais region, at the crossroads of three gastronomic regions: Burgundy, Beaujolais and Bresse. This young AOP was created in 1971. Clos de Chevigne was founded in 1990, at the foot of the Roche de Solutré, in the south of Burgundy, in the commune of Prissé.
Pairings Goes well with fine shellfish (gambas, lobster, langoustines, etc.), cooked foie gras and white meats in cream sauce (veal, poultry). Sushi goes perfectly with its minerality. Ideal with goat's cheese.

Description

Still white Saint-Véran AOC, 13.5% ABV, produced by Clos de Chevigne in Burgundy, France. 100% Chardonnay, 2022 vintage. A wine born at the foot of the Roche de Solutré, the estate's symbol, on stony, clay-limestone Jurassic soils. Traditional fermentation with direct pressing, decanting, and cold storage for 48 hours. Fermentation in vats at a low temperature to preserve the aromas. Aged on the lees in vats for 8 months with regular agitation. The nose reveals subtle aromas of ripe fruit, citrus, and wood. Pale yellow in color with golden highlights. On the palate, it is vinous with a fresh finish, perfect for those who love Burgundian whites.
