Description
Still red Brunello di Montalcino, 15% ABV, produced by Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona. 100% Sangiovese. 1.50 l magnum format, 2019 vintage. A Brunello from a winery with an important history and a cutting-edge production philosophy. The grapes come from medium-textured, marly soils of Eocene origin. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks and glass-lined cement vats at a controlled temperature. Aged in 7.5 to 62 hl Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 3 years, followed by bottle aging for over 8 months. Intense and complex aromas. Sensations of ripe red berry fruit complement various spicy notes. The palate is warm and harmonious with pronounced tannins; a full-bodied wine with a long, persistent finish that can further evolve with extended bottle aging.
