Description

The name NE.RA is the synthesis of this wine: "The beginning of Nebbiolo and the end of Barbera". A blend of 75% Nebbiolo and 25% Barbera. The Nebbiolo vineyard is located at Annunziata in Castagnole delle Lanze, while the Barbera grapes vary from year to year between those of Carossi or Annunziata, according to the blend that best suits our taste.

Cascina Orizzonte was born from the idea of two friends, Enrico Dogliotti and Riccardo Rosso, who in 2014 tried to vinify a small quantity of grapes driven by the passion for wine and the love for the territory.

Grapes are owned and come from the farm of Enrico's parents, who work Moscati d'Asti, Barbera d'Asti and Chardonnay vineyards, with the experience gained in decades of activity.

The goal is to produce wines in an artisanal way, without altering the characteristics of grapes and keeping the typicality of the vineyards used: our wines must enter the market at the right time, without haste.

The goal is to expand skills and knowledge vintage after vintage, experimenting with different types of fermentation and aging.

Civiltà del bere - The Italian Wine Competition (WOW) awarded the following wines:

- Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG 2018: Gold Medal

- Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG 2017: Silver Medal
