Description

Still red wine from Veneto, 15% ABV, produced by Casa Lupo. Blend: 65% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella. 0.75L bottle, 2022 vintage. A Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore born from a passion for the region and collaboration with Valpolicella winemakers. Before aging, the Valpolicella is remacerated on the pomace of the recently racked Amarone, leaving it to rest for approximately 15-20 days. It then matures in 500,000-liter oak barrels for 18 months, followed by bottle aging until optimal ripeness is achieved. On the nose, it recalls small red berries such as currants and blackberries, with hints of violet, plum, and spices. Intense red color with garnet highlights. On the palate, fresh notes of small red berries. Velvety, with delicate and balanced tannins. A wine that pairs perfectly with red meats, mature cheeses and mushroom-based dishes.

From this winery
Casa Lupo is born, a new chapter in Paladin's wine-making history, which continues to tell us of a long-standing passion for wine. Today, Paladin has decided to renew its commitment as an ambassador for the region and for Italian wine production around the world, taking another step forward that marks a return to its regional origins. This new challenge will be taken up by one of the best terroirs in the Veneto region, with a strong wine-growing tradition that for years has produced wines that have become a symbol of Italianness around the world: Valpolicella.

Here, Paladin has established an intense collaboration with the winegrowers of Valpolicella, combining their local expertise with the methods and skills of its own agronomists and oenologists. Casa Lupo embodies the pride and importance of Valpolicella, offering three excellent products on the market: Ripasso della Valpolicella, Amarone della Valpolicella, and Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva.
