Description

Wisdom is combined with strength in the Wolf, who with stealthy gait and hypnotic stare anticipates the moves, while remaining in the wings, silent, observing and favoring harmony among things, as the events unfold. And while everything proceeds, only wisdom can guide man’s hand as he cultivates the vineyard, so that it will yield up Corte del Lupo Rosso, a wine with character, pleasant and convivial. The fruit of nature’s elements, Corte del Lupo Rosso is the expression of patience and skilled work, the incarnation of the philosophy and style of Ca’ del Bosco. Corte del Lupo Rosso rediscovers the local red varietals, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère, to combine the strength of the Wolf and the wisdom of man.

Ca' del Bosco is the mainstay of the Franciacorta terroir. The Ca' del Bosco wineries were founded in the mid-1960s by Annamaria Clementi Zanella, who bought a modest house of the same name in Erbusco, which was endowed with vineyards and woods. However, her son, Maurizio Zanella, started wine production, enhancing the terroir's characteristics and transforming that small house into one of Italy's most productive wineries. In fact, these cellars are distinguished for producing the famousCa' del Bosco sparkling wine, which is characterised by its elegant yet strong personality given by intense, juicy aromas and fullness of flavour.Today Ca' del Bosco is a well-established business, producing numerous labels, including still wines, both red and white, and Franciacorta for which Xtrawine has reserved a place of honour. You can choose from bottles of the best vintages from 2008 with an ageing capacity of between 15 and 25 years that will bring out the best in all your dishes: from pasta to fish and shellfish to dessert, the fruity notes will envelop your palate with every sip. Harvest Second and third ten days of September. The grapes are hand-picked in 8 different vineyards, where they are placed in small crates on which a code is immediately stamped, just before they are cold-stored. Each bunch is selected by expert eyes and hands, and then goes through our exclusive "berry spa," a special whirlpool-like wash for grape bunches, consisting of three soaking tanks, followed by thorough drying.
Wine making Then the clusters are transported over the maceration vat, where they are destemmed, allowing the berries to naturally fall into vat. This eliminates the need for traditional pumping systems, which cause the skins to break and develop unwanted herbaceous hints. Skin contact lasted 21 days for Merlot and Carménère, 22 days for Cabernet Franc, and 20 days for Cabernet Sauvignon. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration were controlled by accurately managing temperature and punching down the grape cap several times.
Aging In oak and stainless steel for approximately 21 months, followed by gravity bottling.
