Description
Still red wine from Tuscany IGT, 14% ABV, produced by Bertinga in Gaiole in Chianti. 100% Merlot. 0.75 L bottle, 2016 vintage. A Merlot that expresses the elegance of the Tuscan terroir, with careful vinification and aging that enhances its complexity. The grapes were hand-picked into 10 kg crates, and the bunches were hand-selected on a sorting table. Aged in French oak barriques, 30% of which were new, for approximately 18 months, followed by at least 18 months in bottle before release. Complex nose, violet and blueberry, mineral notes. Full-bodied and balanced wine while maintaining tension, with clean and silky tannins, an elegant, vertical, and vibrant palate. Remarkably persistent finish.
