From this winery
Located in the heart of Cumières, in the middle of the "Grande Vallée de la Marne", the House offers an ideal environment for the development of the flavors of the Cuvées proposed by Alain and Janick Suisse.
Winemaker since 1870, in Cumières (Village and Historic Slopes in the great Marne Valley, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO) , Alain Suisse cultivates, with ancestral know-how, his 3-hectare vineyard planted with three Champagne grape varieties with passion.
His vines plowed without chemical weedkillers represent a real desire to respect the soil and reduce the ecological footprint, which allows Alain Suisse to obtain the HVE label (High Environmental Value).
Entering the third year of conversion to organic farming, Alain and Janick Suisse produce their wines using gentle oenology (without filtration or chilling) which allows them to give birth to authentic Champagnes with character that express their terroirs. Read more
