Weingut Max Ferd. Richter
Founded in 1680, the winery looks back on more than 300 years of family ownership. The first documented purchase of a vineyard – a plot in Brauneberg – dates back to 17 April 1643. The manor house with its French garden was built in 1774 by the grandson of the company's founder. In 1880, Max Ferd. Richter built a modern winery, which houses one of the largest and most extensive wooden barrel cellars on the Moselle. Today, the winery is managed by Dr Dirk M. F. Richter, the ninth generation of the family. Since the summer of 2012, Constantin M.F. Richter, the tenth generation, has also been working in the company.
