Masottina is the historic brand of the Dal Bianco family, born and bred in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, declared a Unesco heritage site in 2019.

The company was founded in 1946, when grandfather Epifanio acquired the Ai Palazzi estate in Gorgo al Monticano. An estate consisting of 5 hectares of vineyards and a farmhouse. The restoration of the estate's farmhouse brought to light an ancient inscription: CASA MASOTTINA. Casa Masottina gave birth to the two oenological souls of the Dal Bianco family: Masottina, destined for the production of Prosecco wines together with Spumante wines, and the Ai Palazzi Masottina brand, for the company's great still wines. Thanks to the 280 hectares of vineyards owned and run directly by the family, extending over the Conegliano hills and the Piave lands, in Gorgo al Monticano and Mogliano Veneto, that Masottina wines are vinified. A vineyard park built up over the years and condensed into the excellence of Masottina products, cared for by the second generation that sees the oenologist Adriano Dal Bianco at the head of the company today, with his sons Federico - Vice President and Filippo - Sales Director, flanked by his wife Franca who coordinates the administration, and their youngest son Edoardo - responsible for the management and production.

Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, particularly Rive di Ogliano, represent the highest quality expression of our production. Prosecco DOC Treviso flanks these. This wine, in the Brut type, has over the years become Masottina's brand ambassador worldwide, recognised in 2017 with the prestigious 96 points by Steven Spurrier for the English magazine Decanter. Masottina's Prosecco wine has its unique style, where the knowledge of tradition is combined with the careful use of the most modern technologies. The strong points of Masottina's wines are the selection of the best Glera grapes and the gravitational drop with which its wines are vinified, which allows the must to be obtained without stressing the grapes, guaranteeing a finished product of absolute excellence thanks to the vinification process designed by Adriano Dal Bianco in Terre di Ogliano. The Ai Palazzi di Masottina line is the other soul of the company, dedicated to the great tradition of still wines from the Veneto region, particularly to the Colli di Conegliano DOCG appellation with Montesco and Rizzardo, two single vineyards produced in a limited edition. A denomination to which Adriano Dal Bianco is particularly attached and of which he has been one of the leading promoters.
