Cambridge Distillery is the brainchild of William Lowe, a teacher at the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and his wife Lucy who previously worked at Cambridge Business School.
The distillery is located in the English countryside, just a few yards from the River Cam, which winds its way to the university town of Cambridge, only a few miles away, passing first through Grantchester Meadows.
