Beschreibung

To bring on the table a one-litre flask is and ancient tradition, and a symbol of conviviality. Hence the name Unlitro, and a bottle whose shape and size recall the joy and carefreeness of being together. A wine that comes from our youngest vineyard, the closest to the sea; from a blend of Alicante Nero, Carignano, Mourvèdre, Sangiovese and Alicante Bouschet. A wine that testifies to our desire to express the territory in a more gentle and immediate way, without losing the character of a classic Tuscan wine. But Unlitro is more than that: it is also a project created to bring together the forces of Tuscan winemakers closest to the values of Ampeleia and support them in the development of a more organic method which combines respect and quality.

Ampeleia wurde im Jahr 2002 geboren, dem Jahr, in dem Marco Tait, damals jung und unerschrocken, dem Ruf von Elisabetta Foradori und Giovanni Podini, den heutigen Eigentümern, folgte, um sich um die erste Ernte zu kümmern, ohne wirklich zu wissen, was ihn erwarten würde. Elisabetta kannte Marco schon seit einiger Zeit, und frisch von der Schule für Önologie und Weinbau war er vom Gesang der Sirenen der Maremma hingerissen. Ampeleia war jedoch schon zwei Jahre zuvor erdacht worden, ein Traum von drei Freunden in großer Höhe: Rifugio Comici, auf 2153 Metern inmitten der Dolomiten. Dort hatten Elisabetta, Giovanni und Thomas im Winter 2000 die Idee für Ampeleia. Sie wollen Landwirtschaft an einem Ort betreiben, der schön, aber unauffällig ist, weit weg von den Stereotypen, die sich um die Welt des Weins ranken. Mehr lesen
