Former state domination and model properties for viticulture
Pioneering work for viticulture

Gut Avelsbach was created in 1901 as a model plant for viticulture in the idyllic side valleys of the Moselle in Aveler Berg. Decisive for the choice of the place was the belief that the Riesling grape here in the argillaceous schist would spread their fine aroma and their characteristic taste particularly well.

With its imposing buildings me their typical around the turn of the castle-like century character and from the unique location in the rich wine landscape is good Avelsbach still an important vehicle of image for the whole region.
