In Tramonti in 2004, in the green heart of the Amalfi Coast, the "San Francesco" farm was born for the production of wines with a registered designation of origin. The company has a total area of about eight hectares and it exclusively vinifies the grapes of three historic Costiere families: Bove, D'Avino and Giordano. The equipped cellar at the end of 2004 beginning of 2005 is equipped with all modern technologies; placed in the historic farm of the Di Palma family and makes use of the advice of the winemaker Carmine Valentino di Avellino.
Four of the eight and a half hectares of the company are represented by centuries-old prefillossera vineyards of the dyer, aglianico and piedirosso cultivars for the production of the Tramonti rosso Riserva 4 Spine and the Tintore prefillossera E 'ISS. In the remaining four hectares, two and a half are cultivated with falanghina, biancolella, pepella and broom for the production of Cru Per Eva and Tramonti bianco, while the remaining half hectare is destined for a genetic selection field of aglianico and piedirosso.
All vineyards, with a high plant density, are located between 300 and 500 meters above sea level, on steeply sloping terraced land. The production is around 70 to 90 quintals per hectare. Particular attention is paid to the techniques of conservation and protection of the environment, adhering to the Regional plans for the reduction of plant protection products.
