History Arrived in the Veronese from Trentino - Alto Adige. This variety, derived from a "negrara or negron", was described by Pollini (1818).
Features ampelographic Leaf: medium size, pentagonal, quinquelobata; Petiole breast U open or lira; Deep lower lateral breasts, U (often the edges touch or overlap); Upper side breasts with superimposed or inexpensive edges, very deep; Marked and sloping lobes; Corner at the top of the acute terminal lobes; Flat flap but with revolving edges; Upper page of light green, with a smooth or slightly bulging surface, glabra, opaque; Lower gray, velvety bottom page, with bristles on ribs.
