Marquis D'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets 2015
The Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets come from 0.5-hectare of vines replanted in the late 1990s, augmented by an acquisition by Guillaume d'Angerville in 2013 of vines adjacent to that original parcel. This now represents around one-third of the blend. The bouquet leans more towards red fruit with damp undergrowth/woodland aromas, a hint of iodine with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with a smooth and supple entry.
