Professor Giovanni Dalmasso, an Italian oenologist and ampelographer, described Pignolo as a 'singular and luxurious' type of wine.

顏色

Deep ruby.

香氣/花束

Very personal nose with many tones: hints of very ripe small red fruits and then morello cherry mixed with incense, sacristy wood, undergrowth and dark chocolate. With ageing, it becomes spicy.

味道

Imposing, broad, very warm taste, with firm, well-presented but balanced tannins. A wine of rare power and strenght.

It pairs well with refined red meat dishes.

生產技術	The grapes, harvested in trays, are placed in the drying loft and concentrated at a low temperature for about 20 days.
釀造	This is followed by destemming and fermentation on the skins for about three weeks at a controlled temperature.
陳年	From the following spring, the Pignolo matures in barriques and continues for at least 5 years. Ageing is completed in the bottle for no less than 2 years.
