Is immediately charm, fine scents of wild berries and cherry, sweet in their own way, which is a sweetness not ostentatious or superficial, but rather naturally and inevitably linked to the traits of a hot vintage, and that allows the wine to come up with grace although they imply strength and thickness. Despite the 14 degrees and a half, not the alcohol that drinking it will feel, indeed, the mouth is fresh, tight, even without the complexity of the best years, but without even dips and closed by a tannin flavor as it should be: robust, Barolo still talking, but without edges, without dryness, silk. It has been over eight years after harvest, and we are facing a wine in full swing, evolutionary, safe drinking water, in perfect balance, and who knows how many more years.
The nose is floral, with rose, violet and hibiscus elements framing dark cherry and raspberry notes.
In the mouth, the calm, linear mouthfeel allows all the wines complex characteristics of reveal themselves: ripe, fresh cherries, licorice, mineral notes, sweet tannins and a long, precise and fresh finish.

匹配 This wine finds its best matches at the table, with first courses of prosciutto, salami, Alba beef tartare and vitello tonnato. The wine is best with second courses of red meat in general, but also grilled fish or white meats, or with hard and aged cheeses. Desserts with dark chocolate are also a good match, or it can be enjoyed as a “vino da meditazione” (a wine for meditation) by itself.
