Nobody can describe better us the wine and the work needed for the vineyard. Giuseppe Sanzone, one of the first founder of the Settesoli, can describe over the 40 grape-harvest in Menfi better then anyone else. Diego Planeta, the president of the Settesoli is best person who can illustrate the introduction of the new international vineyard in 1985 and Domenico De Gregorio, the oenologist is the only person who can explain simply the preservation of must and process of fermentation.
Here in Settesoli, you can feel the intensity and warmth, which is great example of passion shared by 2300 viticulturists for 50years. Persons who worked step by step together who shared their job, who cultivate together the sensation of performing the great enterprise.

Vineyards
To understand a wine is necessary to start with a vineyard. Menfi is a hilly village, which is located between Agrigento’s temples valley and Selinunte’s temples. It’s nature is excellent, with its territories which are represented an ambitious approach, where the typical Sicilian grape varieties and today international ones as well are producing quality wines. The vineyards that cover an area of 6500 hectares which are supervised by agronomists, who control each phase of the cultivation and determine the right harvesting time for grapes. In this territory are cultivated local grape varieties such as: Nero D’avola and Grecanico as well as international ones: Chardonnay, Vionier, Cabernet Savignon , Merlot and Syrah including Fiano. Settesoli’s wines have the typical character of Mediterranean wines: intense and delicate aromas, crisp and harmonic taste. The wine is obtained the through selection of the grapes, which are brought to the cellar for the delicate phase of vine making. This is done by cellar masters, who make use of ancient traditions by following all the processes of transformation.

Tracking Quality
In this spirit of continuing improvement, consumer safety is an absolute priority, which is why Settesoli has obtained Chain Traceability Certification. Every bottle carries a code indicating that the wine has its own information map to describe each stage on the production chain. Consumers will also note the stamped identification code that allows them to trace the wine’s entire pedigree. The code delivers clear, sure and consistent information about the production chain of the wine selected, from the packaging materials used to the grape types, the blending tanks used and the date of each process or treatment, through to data on the vineyards of provenance, the harvest dates and the identity of the member grower. Since Settesoli was founded in 1958, viticulture has always been our mission. Labels are made with non-wood fibre papers and cardboard from recycled paper. Efficient use of energy, husbanding resources and ongoing waste reduction are all part of our commitment.
