產區 The vine is cultivated in the Genoa city area, in the western part of Genoa, in the Tigullio area and in the eastern offshoot of the Paradise Gulf coast.
歷史 The description was made in a vineyard located in the Cassettarla locality (Cicagna) owned by Mr. Baccicalupo Marco, run by the Fontanabuona Mountain Community and managed by the San Colombano Agricultural Cooperative. Historical evidence and recent winemaking experience suggest waiting for full ripening, with a medium-late harvest, in order to achieve interesting values in the musts and thus in the relative wines. During the 2001 and 2002 harvests, the high potential of the grapes for dessert wines was demonstrated.
識別葡萄品種特徵 分類 Adult leaf: tends to be medium-large, approx. 16 cm long, pentagonal, pentalobate and in some cases trilobate; pentalobate leaves dominate in the median part of the shoot; in some vines there are trilobate leaves, typical of less vigorous vines; open lyre-shaped or U-shaped petiolar sinus with occasional presence of a tooth; upper lateral sinuses are lyre-shaped with slightly overlapping lobes, the lower ones are U-shaped generally not overlapping and in some cases with a tooth leaf blade is medium-dark green in colour and strongly tomentose, especially on the lower page (also present on the upper page); overall the leaf is velvety and the main veins are clearly purplish-red at the base (first 2-3 cm); the leaf blade is slightly depressed and undulated and slightly blistered; leaf outline twisted-revolved; fairly regular teeth, approx. 1. 6 cm and on average 1.4 cm long, with mixed margins, although convex-sided teeth prevail. Cluster at industrial maturity: two types of clusters were found in the surveys carried out: one medium large and one medium (370 and 230 g); between them the difference is mainly attributable to the average weight of the berry (2.4-2.8 g vs. l.9-2.2 g); the largest bunch is elongated conical, with sometimes long pedunculated wing, sparse to averagely compact, peduncle approx. 6.4 cm long with medium-strong lignification; medium-sized bunches tend to be pyramid-shaped with smaller wing, more compact and rounded berries. Berry: generally round or ellipsoidal, yellow-green in colour that turns golden in the sun and with exposure; has rust-coloured punctuation that is greater in the better-exposed bunches.
筆記 Resistance to pests and other adversities: it offers less tolerance to downy mildew than Bianchetta genovese, while it is less sensitive to powdery mildew; furthermore, while the bunches are normally in good condition up to veraison, afterwards it is susceptible to various anomalies sunburn, bridling by the tendrils that break it up and twist it with consequences on the regular growth of the bunches, drying out of portions of them, partially compromised synthesis, harvesting difficulties: the compact bunch and thin skin can predispose to the development of botrytis especially following wasp stings or other wounds.
