On the palate a refined sweet flavour reminiscent of the noble orange liqueur Grand Marnier impresses the taste buds, perfectly balanced by the injection of an animating acidity. Thus, despite its almost tropical exuberance, this Spätlese not only retains the inherent freshness of Riesling, but also manages to throw in some charming notes of spice and a flinty mineral contribution for good measure.
