Domini Veneti Amarone della Valpolicella San Rocco 2011
The lower Marano Valley, including Valgatara, is one of the region’s most extensive grape-growing areas. On the hillsides, the vineyards face south-west and south-east and their soil is volcanic basalt, known locally as toar. In the valley itself, the vineyards are mainly 300 and 400 metres above sea level, and they experience drastic diurnal temperature variations in autumn.
