Kurtatsch Brenntal Gewurztraminer Riserva 2018
From the thirteenth century until the early modern period, the "Traminer" was considered the most famous wine of the South Tyrol. The "Brenntal" area, located in the northwest of Cortaccia, during the day is among the hottest positions. By clay soils, red, deep, hilly vineyards of the Gewürztraminer grape extracts those seductive aromas that lead to the baroque descriptions: peony with dewdrops, acacia honey, candied orange peel, mango, lychee and lavender. In the lower areas Gewürztraminer would end up "exhale" too much acidity - on these exposed terraces, for centuries strengthened with stone walls, the robust wine acquires a lively acidity and flavor. In colorful combination of stones of the ancient stone walls you can see the tread elements that soil Gewürztraminer "Brenntal" retransmits the palate: a mineral complex game that with the aging of the wine emerges as a vigorous and juicy finish. The Aging capacity "Brenntal" is impressive. For this it is only available as RESERVE.
