Soil composition Markedly clayey with a fairly significant pebble fraction. Skeleton in higher altitude vineyards, slit in lower ones. Merlot vines grow on clayey soils.
Cultivation system Spurred cordon.
Harvest By hand, with 15 kg crates.
Ageing About 18 months in first-passage and second-passage French wooden barrels. Bottled in summer, it is left to rest in the bottle for a few months before being marketed.
