Colour

Intense ruby red.

Bouquet

Intense, broad and rich. Fruity hints emerge, particularly of blackberry, together with spicy and vanilla notes leading to balsamic tones typical of the cultivar.

Flavour

The palate is enveloping, with an excellent tannic texture and good acidity. The ripe tannins are well integrated and persistent. It closes with an elegant finish.

Origin Montalcino - Sant'Angelo in Colle (Siena).
Climate Altitude: 350 m. a.s.l. Exposure: South, South-West.
Soil composition Medium-textured with some calcareous pebbles.
Vinification Separate fermentation of the varieties in steel vats. Maceration lasts approximately 12/14 days at a controlled temperature of 25 °C. Malolactic fermentation in cement vats. First racking directly into barriques.
Ageing Ageing of wines separated by variety and lot for 24 months in French oak barriques. No racking was carried out until final blending. Stability was achieved in barriques during the winter by subjecting the product to the seasonal cold to obtain a naturally limpid wine. Bottling was followed by ageing in the bottle.
