Description

Tartalo comes from ancient Basque mythology. An old world in which Oxer likes to escape to and which he aims to express in his wines and images. Tartalo is the name of an enormously strong one-eyed Basque giant. The quote on the back label is from the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch: “From my rotting body flowers shall grow and I am in them and that is eternity.”

Notes of thyme and sweet spices, together with rustic tones of leather in the background.

Incredible structure and elegant flavours. Tannins are pronounced, fine-grained, and velvety balanced by flavours of black cherry, bramble and black plum with an enormously long and chalky finish.

16 - 18 °C.

This stunning white comes from a 96-year-old, one-hectare parcel in Elvillar and is a blend of Viura with 3% Malvasia, aged in used French oak.
