Deep ruby red in colour

History Le Serre Nuove is the 'second wine' of Ornellaia and was born at the time of final assembly of the different barrels. The grapes of younger vines are usually predominant in the blend of Serre Nuove Ornellaia. The quantities produced depend on both the vintage and the final assembly and therefore vary from year to year

Climate The season was characterized by a very mild winter with below normal rainfall, which led to an early bud break of about 10 days than the average.
