Areas of cultivation	It is widespread in some locations in Trentino-Alto Adige, the Euganean Hills, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Sicily.
History	There is some debate as to the origin of Moscato Giallo. Many wine historians believe that it was brought to northern Italy from the Middle East by the famous Venetian merchants of the Middle Ages. However, a probable close genetic relationship with Moscato Bianco contradicts this theory, and it is now thought that Moscato Giallo is native to northeastern Italy.
Ampelographic features	Leaf: medium size, rounded, trilobated and sometimes whole; Pectoral breast at V-U; Lateral lateral V-Us that are shallow or missing; Angle at the top of the median lobe tending to the hollow; A little lobed lobes; Flaps thick, bent to eaves, slightly wavy; Upper page glabra, green, opaque, with yellow verdant ribs; Bottom page glabra, light green with light green ribs; Teeth not very pronounced, rather irregular and somewhat convex. Bunch: Medium or rather large (20-25 cm), elongated, pyramidal, with 1 or 2 wings, spatula; Visible, long, herbaceous peduncle, green, dotted. Acino: medium (diameter about 17 mm), spheroid, smooth cross section; Dense, thick, thick, somewhat yellow, opalescent peel with regular color distribution; Persistent navel; Slightly fleshy and juicy pulp; Taste pleasantly muscat; Medium, big, green pedicel; Evident knots, brown green, wrinkled; Long, yellow brush.
