Colour

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections.

Bouquet

Intense, elegant and persistent with notes of red fruit jam and aromatic herbs. A short exposure to oxygen releases the spicy fragrances of black and white pepper and then the sweeter oriental spices f cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, sloe berries and cardamom.

Flavour

The structure is accompanied by a persuasive tenacity. The body is powerful with an elegant acidity that reawakens balsamic and mineral notes. Dry aftertaste, with gentle tannins inviting a new taste.

Pairing

Red meat, venison and strongly flavoured first courses, for example, pappardelle with hare or duck ragout.
