Hirsch Vineyards Pinot Noir Reserve 2014
David Hirsch dreamed for many years of making a reserve pinot noir from his vines. Since our first Reserve in 2009, we have endeavored to capture the most complete and powerful expression of the Hirsch Vineyard through selecting the very best and oldest parcels for this wine. The Reserve continues this tradition, bringing together the finest barrels from the vintage to create a wine of intense but elegant fruit, with lithe tannins and an earthy complexity.

Colour

Dark and dense ruby red.

Bouquet

The olfactory examination shows hints that can be traced back to small red berries, black cherries in jam and black currant. The palate is elegant, fresh with an appreciable and compact body.

Flavour

Soft mouth and tannin center of good finesse. Final fresh and dry, persistent.

Pairing

Excellent if paired with second courses of good structure, stuffed quail roast.
