The vineyard is located Tildin Sori close to the town of Barbaresco Costa Russi in. The term dialect Sorì indicates the top of the hill facing south, while Tildin stands for Clotilde (Clotilde Rey, Angelo Gaja's grandmother). All the 5 individual vineyard Gaja combine elegance and complexity, qualities that are the best balance in Sori Tildin. A wine of great finesse, combines beautifully with the unique climate characteristics of Nebbiolo. It has complex aromas: mineral, black cherry, cedar and spice. Full and rich in the mouth, very dense fabric, a multi-dimensional wine grnade marked by a number of fine tannins and ripe; extraordinary potential of ripening.

History The Sorì Tildìn vineyard was acquired by the Gaja family in 1967. It was first produced as a single-vineyard wine in 1970. The word "sorì" is the Piedmontese word for a hilltop with a southern exposure. "Tildìn" was the nickname of Angelo Gaja's grandmother, Clotilde Rey.
