Feudi San Gregorio Sirica 2014
A unique wine, whose vineyard of origin, the Sirica, precisely, has common characteristics in the DNA with Teroldego, Refosco and Sirah, and was rediscovered in the secular Taurasi vineyards thanks to studies conducted in collaboration with the University of Naples and Milan. The color is deep ruby red; nose red fruits and herbal notes. The palate is soft and persistent with delicate tannins. Indicated first by meat sauce and red meat.

Origin Research conducted on behalf of the Company "fiefs of St. Gregory" on the last four original plants still in Taurasi, using DNA markers and the profile of anthocyanins, showed an affinity with some genetic varieties of the north-eastern Italy such as Teroldego, Refosco and Lagrein, related to the colonization of the delta of the River Po Phocaean kinship with the Aglianico also speculate that an ancestral Sirica is of this variety, expression of the Etruscan viticulture by 'enclave of Capua was spread by the Lombards, as evidenced by the types of farming and dell'avellinese Benevento (or the tennecchie tesole) to the Irpinia.
