From this winery
Ryan Ponsford started his wine adventure with a pivotal bottle of additive-free Pinot Noir made by cult wine figure, Bill Downie.

Not long after, Ryan found himself in Bill's vineyard, pruning, plucking, tending the vines and taking notes from Bill and his farming partner Pat Sullivan.

It wasn't long before Ryan jumped in boots and all and started his own label made with the same philosophy as the wines of Pat and Bill. Now he's bought a patch of dirt in Gippsland and is putting vines in the groud.

His journey is just at the beginning, but the DNA of what Ryan is planning is well and truly on the right track. Watch this space, there is plenty more in store for this budding young vigneron.
