Dr. Loosen L Riesling Dry 2016

This crisp, refreshing Riesling is the dry counterpart to the fruity, off-dry Dr. L Riesling. Together, these two wines represent the entry-level from Dr. Loosen, capturing the elegant and racy characteristics of steep, slate-soil Mosel vineyards at a very reasonable price. We call them our “welcome to the Mosel” wines.

Colour

Straw yellow with greenish reflections.

Bouquet

The nose has intense fruity aromas, apple and peach, followed by vegetable aromas and an excellent mineral vein.

Flavour

Fresh and savory, in the mouth returns the intense fruit note to the long and spicy final.

Pairing

It is very well matched with smoked salmon canapes, sweet and savory waffles, dutch sauce, on aperitifs, but also able to enhance Asian cuisine such as Noodles or Spring Rolls, especially if slightly spiced.
