Castello Albola Chianti Gran Selezione Santa Caterina 2017
Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Santa Caterina takes its name from a single vineyard of just over five hectares, completely exposed to the south at an average altitude of 550 metres. A privileged parcel for the soil composition, rich in marl, and for the quality of the Sangiovese grapes grown there. Vinified in purity, aged over a long period with a measured use of wood, the grapes turn into a sparkling wine with a pervasive bouquet and an incisive and interminable sip, an authentic interpreter of the soul of Castello di Albola.

Colour

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections.

Bouquet

Intense and elegant, with floral notes of lily and a good concentration of ripe red fruit.

Flavour

Strong and full-bodied with sweet tannins. Long, persistent finish.

Pairing

Excellent with savoury first courses, red meats, roasts, game and aged and half-aged cheeses.
