Brancaia Il Blu 2017
BLU perfectly embodies Brancaia's identity and our vision, based on respect for the environment and the search for the highest quality without compromise. Matured in French barriques (two-thirds new) for 20 months and at least one year in the bottle. With fine tannins and a lingering finish, Il BLU is a wine of great structure, which fascinates with its complexity and elegance. Over the past 30 years, this wine has not only become a symbol for Brancaia, it has become a classic for wine lovers all over the world.

Bouquet

The nose is extremely elegant with scents of wild fruits and cherry chocolate, licorice and Caribbean cedar, sweet tobacco, mint and tones of roasting.

Flavour

The taste is harmonious, rich in structure and furrowed by precise and well-dissolved tannins. Long finish.

Origin The Brancaia estate encompasses the vineyards Brancaia (Castellina in Chianti) and Poppi (Radda in Chianti), at between 750 and 1300 feet above sea level. All vineyards have hillside location, looking south, southwest or southeast. They are partly covered with greenery and worked according to integrated production standards.
