Region of Lower Austria, located on the left bank of the Danube, just above Vienna, which in the form of an elongated rampart, about ten meters high, separates the alluvial plain from the lower river terrace. On the border between Weinviertel and Marchfeld, the Wagram is partly cultivated with vineyards, while the nearby areas are still partly uncultivated, due to the existence of alluvial materials that are too coarse.
