The blend is Chardonnay (51%), Pinot Noir (30%), Pinot Meunier (10%) and 9% red still wine from Mareuil-sur-Ay (from old vines).
The mousse is fine and persistent.
A delicate cherry colour with a hint of copper.
On the nose, there are aromas of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, morello cherries) together with spice notes.
On the palate, this wine is powerful, vinous and is well balanced. The finish, rich and fresh, is elegant and long lasting.
Ayala Rose; is perfect as an aperitif or with hot appetizers. It will also be superb with salmon or with desserts made out of red fruits or crumbles.
Ayala began life in 1860 when Edmond de Ayala registered the brand name, and in 1882 it became one of the 18 founding members of the Syndicat of the Grandes Marques. Champgane went through a hard time, and Ayala almost perished in the growers’ riots ...
