Tenuta Villa Trentola is a Manor lying on Colle Cesubeo, that of the modern Bertinoro, in a beautiful landscape, among green hills, cultivated fields, olive-groves and vineyards.
The name Castrum Brittinori is tied to various popular legends, the most reliable of these tells that Galla Placidia, whishing to praise the excellence of the local wine served in a rough jug, exclaimed: “Such a rough goblet is unworthy of You, oh wine, who deserve Taste you (Berti) in Gold (in Oro)!”.
The Manor, once property of the Earls Gaddi, belongs to the Prugnoli since 1890, when was bought by Great-grandfather Enrico. Since then, the Prugnoli handed down from one generation to another their love for this land and the art of “making” wine.
The farm changed her image with the coming of the today owner, Dr. Federica Prugnoli, who after holding a University degree at the Faculty of Agriculture and an experience in France in a laboratory for wine-growing research, decided to devote completely to her farm, so that she could reach higher and higher levels.
