Antonio Berlucchi, with his wife Antonia, founded the winery in 1927. But it was to be the five children, Francesco, Gabriella, Marcello, Roberto and Pia Donata, who would unite the family business to create a new identity in the name of tradition, the Azienda Agricola Fratelli Berlucchi. Solid promises and entrepreneurship will make it one of the most avant-garde wineries in the area in just a few years, so much so that in 1967 it will be registered as the first Franciacorta DOC wine.
Through cultivation that pays attention to sustainability, on 70 hectares of vineyards cultivated with Guyot and permanent spurred cordon, the winery harvests traditionally, strictly by hand. The ageing and bottling process occurs within the family estate in Borgonato, Brescia. The wines of Fratelli Berlucchi, which have been produced since the early 1900s and bear the family name on all their labels, are now distributed in the best restaurants and wine shops in Europe, the United States, India, China, Japan and Central America.
