Since 1885, the "Fattoria Casetto dei Mandorli" winery has been producing prestigious wines in the area of Predappio Alta, an historically important area for wine-growing in Romagna.
Back in the year 1000, as reported in the municipal statutes dating to that period, the local economy was based on the production of the Sangiovese wine from several vineyards distributed by feudal lords to various wine-growers, who would grow their vineyards with the utmost care.
Giuseppe Nicolucci together with his son, and wine-making expert, Alessandro, is the heir of three generations of wine-growers, who have always taken care of the historic vineyards that the family owned in Predappio Alta and of the underground cellars where the Sangiovese wine is left to age in the oak barrels.
Fattoria Casetto dei Mandorli is the typical winery where family culture is translated into deep love for the land and one of its best fruits, wine. These are the farms' vineyards: Vigna dei Mandorli, Vigna del Generale, Vigna di Riggiano, Vigna Tre Rocche, Vigna della Rosa.
