||Grecanico is a group of Sicilian white Berry native grapes whose origins can be traced back to the common one for many southern grapes, namely the introduction to southern Italy by the colonial Greeks of the 7th century BC. There is, however, no written information on the vine until the late Renaissance when in 1696 Cupani cited a vine called Grecani. In 1835, instead, Abbot Jeremiah described it in his treatise, "Stafulegrafia", indicating its location in the town of Randazzo and more generally in the whole of Trapani. In this description the abbot also reported some suffering to the acinification and to the casting.

Bunch: Medium; Long, on average, cm 22; Elongated, cylindrical, winged (with one or two wings), medium spatula, sometimes wedged; Peduncle not visible (short), herbaceous, large, light gray; Slightly long, light gray; Clear, light-gray, with gray-dark warts; Medium, yellow-straw brush; Separation of the pedicle from the aquarium: easy.
Acino: medium, spheroidal-ellipsoid, of regular shape, with regular cross-section (circular); Yellow-golden skin, regularly distributed, slightly pruneous, thick and consistent; Persistent and prominent navel; Juicy flesh, simple and sweet flavor; Colorless juice.

||Beautiful gold color and dry tones, accompanied by a good alcoholic content and a refreshing freshness. Even the olfactory range, with white fruit games and aromatic herbs in floral equilibrium, are also great. Complex and elegant, Grecanico moves its aromatic games in the various geographical areas of the island, accentuating its fruity scent in central Sicily where tropical aromas of melon and pineapple appear with nose with refined accents of peaches and plums.
